About Black Jack Soap
I cant remember how I got my hands on that book, but I do remember reading it and being engulfed in the science of transformation that is the art of soap making. That's all it took. My sister and I came up with a recipe, gathered materials and made our very first batch. It was pumpkin (to this day one of my favorite bars of all time). We cured it, cut it and gifted it to family & friends. We anticipated their feedback. To say the least, we received the equivalent of a standing ovation. We started Black Jack Soap Company in 2013 and never looked back.

Our Environmental Responsibility.
Anyone who knows us knows this isn't new news but it's important to share. Our company and the way we live our lives should work hand-in-hand with this beautiful planet we call home. From picking supplies to creating, making, and selling our finished product, we want to sleep well knowing our footprint is minimal and our products wont be sitting in a landfill for ages. We hold ourselves to our own standard, one we believe is in the best interest of all-kind, a social & ethical responsibility that everyone & every business should consider when conducting themselves for the greater good of future generations to come.

Why 'Black Jack'?
A rose by any other name... As we tried to brainstorm business name ideas, nothing felt quite right. Picking a name is tougher than it sounds. All the names we came up with were nice, but they sounded forced and like they were trying too hard to 'be something'. During one of these brainstorming sessions, my cat Black Jack kept rubbing against my leg and breaking my concentration. I'd say "Black Jack! Get." Finally, after repeating it several times, it hit me...Black Jack Soap Company! This will be the name. It encompasses everything we're about: natural, cruelty-free, less-is-more soap and homage to one lucky feline.
